So a few weeks ago I went to a Dominican monastery in downtown Lima.  Today I got the chance to visit the Franciscan one, which involved catacombs!  They were awesome.  But I wasn’t allowed to take pictures so the pictures I have are sneaky.

Incidentally, all the bones that you see were not like that originally.  The cemetary stopped being used sometime in the 1600s and some archeologists uncovered it in the 1800s and decided to sort the bones, to make it a better exhibit.

To all the Supernatural fans out there (hi Grant!): there are 25,000 people buried here.  Imagine if one of them was an angry spirit?
