Cow Parade

For the past month or so whenever I have been wandering around I have found all kinds of yellow signs that say “Cow Parade” on them.  In English.  Suffice to say that I was very very confused about what this could possibly mean, and anytime I asked someone they had no clue either.  Then, the other day, mysterious shapes started appearing in parks in Lima.  Then, today, they were unveiled!

Those of you from Toronto will recall the moose that similarly appeared on the streets of Toronto a while back.  Apparently this Cow Parade is happening all over the world, and there are 80 cows here in Lima.  I will try to catch them all!

  1. We had the cow parade a few years back. I would like to point out that you have a bull parade. They have horns. Female cows don’t get horns.

Our cow parade was 500 cows and two bulls. Several of my artist friends decorated cows. I actually have a cow in the lobby of my building.

    • The sign clearly says “cow parade”. And do bulls wear makeup or wear fancy shoes? I didn’t think so.
