Candyvore literally means to feel physical pleasure by eating candy or anything else containing sugar. In this exhibition, artist Abel Bentín explores the “dark side” of what may seem sweet, innocent food. Using a wide range of techniques, he focuses on traditional fairy tales for children and presents a story in which candy and sugar tempt children to devour everything sweet in sight, and then take over the place, becoming an absolute nightmare.

When: Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Until April 10
Where: Galería Lucía de La Puente – Paseo Sáenz Peña 206, Barranco

I went to visit an art exhibit called Candyvore, which, by the sounds of the description above, sounded TOTALLY AWESOME.  Turned out to be not quite as promised, but it was still pretty awesome.  Check out some of the photos!
