Route:

Start in Lima

South to Nazca (8 hours by bus)

• See the Nazca Lines

South to Arequipa (12 hours by bus, or take a plane – Arequipa has an airport)

• See architecture, nightlife
• Hike through volcanoes and canyons

North to Cusco (10 hours by bus, or take a plane – Cusco has an airport)

• Hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Visit the jungle

• Fly to Puerto Maldonado and view wildlife in the jungle OR
• Take a bus to the Manu area OR
• Go back to Lima and fly to Iquitos

Fly back to Lima

North to Huaraz (8 hours by bus)

• Hike in the Cordillera Blanca

North to Trujillo (9 hours by bus, or take a plane – Trujillo has an airport)

• See all the ruins

North to Mancora (9 hours by bus, or take a plane – Mancora has an airport)

• Relax on the beach
